Power Diodes

A diode has two terminals: a cathode and an anode. Power diodes are of three types:

  1. General Purpose
  2. High Speed (or fast recovery)
  3. Schottky

  4. If the cathode voltage is higher than its anode voltage, a diode is said to be in a blocking mode.
